Mr. Heriberto “Bert” Y. Santos, Chairman, President and CEO
Bert is the Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of MRI Worldwide Philippines. He is also the Team Lead for Finance, Supply Chain, IT and Human Resources. Bert is a seasoned banker with over 30 years of experience in the banking industry. Prior to setting up MRI in the Philippines, he was connected with First United Bank (now UCPB), Bank of America, Citytrust (an affiliate of Citibank), BPI (Ayala Group), and Globalbank (an affiliate of Metrobank Group and Tokai Bank of Japan). In BPI, he was Vice President and Market Head of the Asian Desk in Corporate Banking. He subsequently joined Globalbank as Vice President and Head of Corporate Banking Division I. Mr. Santos is an AB-Philosophy graduate of San Beda College and holds an MBA degree from De La Salle University.
Bert had intensive training in executive search from MRI University which is based in Cleveland, Ohio, USA. He attended executive search training programs in Singapore, Hongkong, and Kuala Lumpur. MRI follows a unique methodology that has been proven to be very successful throughout its 43 years of existence, propelling it to be one of the largest executive search companies in the world. In the Philippines, Bert’s clients include the largest banks in the country and other well-known and big multinational and local companies in various industries.
Bert is a member of the Management Association of the Philippines (MAP) and the Personnel Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP).
Ms. Anna “Katrina” P. Santos, Vice President & COO
Katrina is the Vice President and Chief Operations Officer of MRI Worldwide Philippines overseeing the Fast Moving Consumer Goods, Pharmaceutical and Telecommunications Industries. She also heads the Marketing and Sales Teams.
Immediately prior to joining MRI, Katrina was the Associate Marketing Manager handling the Enfa Franchise, the global brand, for Mead Johnson Philippines. Prior to this role, Katrina handled the Alacta and Lactum Franchises.
Katrina also worked for Unilever Philippines as Assistant Brand Manager for Breeze and Lifebuoy prior to Mead Johnson. Before she took her MBA, Katrina worked at Bank of America as Associate Department Head for Asia Regional Reconciliation Unit (Audit).
Katrina has made numerous outstanding achievements throughout her career. At Mead Johnson, she orchestrated a turn-around of the Alacta Franchise from negative to 16% growth in sales during the year that she entered the company. She also recounts how she pioneered the use of new and effective communications vehicles such as jeepney advertising, which has now been copied by Jollibee and other established advertisers. Katrina also led the Lactum and Alacta franchises towards breaking Mead Johnson records in sales and market shares respectively. In her latest post in Enfa, she again achieved record sales, regaining the #1 share position for the Childrens brands after 3 years in a #3 position. She pioneered the use of a celebrity endorser in Mead Johnson boosting both offtake and shares within a month of airing. At Unilever, she launched Lifebuoy Alcologne and Kalamansi, personally managed the project and was responsible for developing everything from the product name, the concept, the packaging up to the rollout. Because of her successful launch, she achieved a record market share increase in just 1 month. At Bank of America, she was responsible for setting-up the Regional Audit Center. As Associate Department Head, she had 5 direct reports whom she hired and whose careers she managed.
Katrina was a fast-track top performer in brand management, with an expertise in developing and launching innovations successfully. In Mead Johnson, she handled all locally-led product innovations involving the Alacta, Lactum and Enfa brands from conception to project proposal approval. Her solid background in marketing, results-oriented work ethic and her ability to think strategically and creatively allowed her to make a tremendous positive impact on the organizations she has worked with.
Katrina has a Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA), specialization in Marketing from the University of the Philippines. She also graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of the Philippines- Diliman.
